Most Oregonians want action on climate. Most of us never bring it up.
That gap is why leaders treat this as a fringe issue, and it's the reason for the evening we're hosting on Wednesday, October 7.
Oregon climate economist Ernie Niemi is coming to Worthy to screen the People's Emergency Briefing, a film built from a briefing that ten scientists, economists, and communicators delivered to more than 1,200 leaders in London last year. It takes the scattered pieces of climate science and assembles them into one clear picture, in plain language, in about an hour.
Then we talk. What mattered most to you, what you want to see from local leaders, and how to make it obvious that the majority wants action.
